The Canton Helpline Board announces that Mary Murray, Food Pantry Coordinator, recently decided to step down from her position with the Canton Helpline Food Pantry. Mary served with dedication for 33 months, during which time she played a pivotal role in strengthening the pantry’s operations and expanding its reach within the community. We are grateful for her time, energy, and commitment to our mission, and we accept her decision with respect and appreciation for all she has contributed.
Among her many accomplishments, Mary secured a $76,000 grant to support food insecurity initiatives — significantly enhancing our capacity to meet the growing needs of Canton residents.
She also worked closely with volunteers to help transform our newly relocated pantry into a warm, welcoming, and efficient space. Her attention to detail and creativity made the new pantry a truly
inviting and dignified environment for those we serve.
Mary’s contributions have made a lasting impact on our organization and the broader community. We thank her for her outstanding service and wish her the very best in her next chapter.
To ensure a smooth transition, the Board has put in place interim leadership measures, and the Food Pantry will continue to operate without interruption. As we move forward, the Canton Helpline remains committed to building on Mary’s work and continuing to meet the growing needs of our community.
